Almost since the beginning of Scouting, Scouts have gathered to share ideas, to compete in skills that support the fundamentals of Scouting, and most importantly for fellowship. Today we follow that tradition with an annual event known as Camporee.
The 2015 Camporee is being hosted by troop 93 and our vision is to make this the biggest gathering in the history of Northern Tier District. Our premier district event if you will. In order to do this, we need the participation of every unit in our district. We are asking all units to commit to not just attending, but participating in this event.
All registered Scouts and Scouters. Boy Scouts and Venturers will be camping down both sides of a Midway where they will lead demos, exhibit their skills and share their adventures. First and Second year Webelos will be invited to camp with troops. Cub Scouts of all ages are welcome and encouraged to join us on Saturday from 10 am through the closing campfire (supper will be available for a small fee).
Back to the Santa Fe Trail, a very open theme that is intended to pay homage to the former Santa Fe Trail District (some of us have been around long enough to remember that), as well as, an opportunity to return to the fundamentals of Scouting, and in the pioneer spirit, explore new things to come
